PERSONAL ART
As an art educator, I believe it is vital to explore a variety of art making methods through personal practice. By keeping a practice, I can better relate to my students and keep a hand in contemporary art as it is an ever evolving art movement. Below you will find work ranging from this year to undergraduate when I began my practice. Please scroll through and click on works for more information.

WALLFLOWER, UNDERGRADUATE THESIS
The natural world has always been a place of escape, meditation and renewal for myself. I have been migrating towards creating works with an underlying idea of nature and the human touch. To express this, I have created a body of work that displays my love for both porcelain sculpture and florae. Every fingerprint, broken petal and warped or cracked piece of porcelain are not flaws. Instead, they are a physical marker that the flowers were not simply rendered, but truly and intentionally crafted. This work is a reflection of who I am in my most personal and private places. I want the work not to be just about flowers, but to be a record of the time and labor put into creating.
